Boat and Tackle

You will be fishing aboard a 2020 Sportsman 27ft CC.  This boat is spacious and can accommodate up to 6 angers.  The boat is equipped with a Yamaha XTO 425HP engine.  The large t-top will provide shade in the warm summer months as well as protection from cold, wind and rain in the winter months.  The boat is also equipped with a full head for those days where early morning coffee needs an escape valve!   

Our boat is rigged with the latest technologies to ensure your trip will be safe and joyful.

We use light tackle to ensure everyone gets to "fight the fight"!  All Rod, Reels and tackle needed to catch fish are provided.  Different methods require different tackle.  We use a variety of Lews, Ugly Stik, Abu Garcia and Okuma fishing gear.   

We use live bait fished in a variety of methods all year long.  Herring is the preferred bait from May-October and Gizzard Shad from September -April.   The boat is equipped with a filtered live well keeping the bait lively all day long.

During months when the fish are schooling we can use top water artificial baits.  

The boat is equipped with a Minn Kota Ulterra auto deploy trolling motor.   This key piece of equipment keeps us on or in the fish all year long.
